It's morphing time! Err.. wrong show.. Digivices/D-Ark
When we first meet Ryo in Anode/Cathode Tamers he does not have his own Digivice, instead Gennai lends him Taichi's. I'm not sure about whether he gets or borrows another Digivice/D-3 in Tag Tamers and D-1 Tamers as I haven't had a chance to play them yet. In Brave Tamers though, it looks like Ryo receives his D-Ark from Takato.

In Tamers Ryo has gotten his own D-Ark, which is blue with white trim. It's pretty much the inverse of Ruki's D-Ark. His is also the only D-Ark which has a body color that isn't white. While his D-Ark also does what we've come to expect (detection, card slashes) it also doubles as an energy whip to help him control Cyberdramon.

Anode/Cathode Tamers Dressed sensibly for the digital world.
The poster boy for Digimon games is also the poster boy for J Crew. He's got on what looks like a reddish-orange knit turtleneck sweater and olive (though in the photo it looks almost aqua/green) cargo pants. The pants seem to be a constant of any of his outfits. He also has a orange messenger bag with his name in huge letters across the strap. White sneakers with blue soles and trim complete his debut outfit. The Quasi-Tai outfit

In the 02 games and anime Ryo apparently picks up some fashion tips from Taichi. (It's the shirt, it looks a lot like Tai's Adventure outfit to me.) He keeps the olive cargo pants and white and blue-trimmed sneakers (though it looks like a newer pair) and dons a pair of white gloves like Tai's (or Mickey Mouse's). He also goes with a short-sleeved collared shirt with little gold wings on the sleeves. I'm not sure whether I think he looks like a boy scout or Robert Downey Jr. in 'Air America'.

Digimon Tamers Cyber Cowboy
When Ryo first appears in Tamers he's got the post-Apocalyptic cowboy (Mad Max, Waterworld) look. He again keep the olive green cargo pants (either he's got a closet full of the same pants, or else he just never changes them -- I'm hoping for the former). He's got on a long sleeved grey-ish shirt and the left sleeve appears to have been torn off. I'd guess it was to help nurse a wound or torn during a struggle (or he's got a very odd sense of fashion). He's also traded in the blue-trimmed sneakers for a pair of red-trimmed ones. Again these seem to be the inverse of Ruki's own shoes -- maybe that's why she hates him, he's ripping off her outfit ;)

Adding to the cyber-cowboy look is a red bandana, chaps, beige gloves, and a metal gauntlet on his right arm. Regarding the chaps and gauntlet, I personally hope he picked these up in the Digital World, if not the poor boy loses points for fashion sense (or perhaps he was on his way to a costume party when he decided to take a long detour to the Digital World?).

While I'm not a fan of the cowboy/girl look Ryo and Mimi (another of my favorites) have successfully (in my warped vision) pulled it off.

Back to basics look Upon returning to the real world he's cleaned himself up a bit and has the Anode/Cathode tamer outfit on (minus the bag with his name on it) and keeps the new sneakers. Apparently it's also a bit chilly back in Japan so he also dons a blue jacket. As a side note, the jacket also seems to have an inner pocket where he keeps some Device (Modify) Cards to give out to new Tamers like he's the Tooth Fairy of new Tamers.
